Account Management Information

  • Go to the EMI Learning Management System here.
  • Provide your name, work email, work address, supervisor's information and additional applicant information such as agency, job title, alternate email, etc.
    • Fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
  • Click "Register" to complete creating a new account.
    • Your username will be the work email you used to register.
    • Your (system-generated) password will be sent to your email. You will need that password to log in the second time you access your dashboard.
    • When you first enter your system-generated password, you will be prompted to create your own password.

As a first timer, you will be required to set up MFA after you sign in:

  • Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
  • Once that has been downloaded, use your desktop computer (or laptop or another device) to log into our LMS at https://emi-cuny.geniussis.com/PublicWelcome.aspx.
  • A pop-up screen with a unique QR code will be prompted:
  • Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone and select the blue, circular button to scan the QR code that is shown on the screen.
  • A camera screen will pop up.
  • Hover your phone over the QR code shown on your desktop above. The app will automatically add a new account named "CUNY professional education".
  • Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app to the sign in page on the desktop screen, then select "Set up two-factor now".
  • If there is an issue in setting up MFA, you can retry by removing the current account on the authenticator app: select the account -> select Settings button -> select "Remove account". You then try to set up MFA again.
