Welcome to another year with the DCAS Energy Management Institute!
Over the last 16 years, the Energy Management Institute (EMI) has served nearly 3,000 unique City employees, all of whom are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and being a critical part of New York City’s greener future. EMI’s impact spans across 44 agencies (and counting) with topics that include fundamental concepts, technical knowledge, data analysis, and project management. We know this because of the success stories that you and your colleagues across the City have shared with us.

EMI is proud to continue to offer a broad variety of trainings to meet professional development demands that support agencies, job roles, and local initiatives. Our portfolio includes many hands-on interactive trainings, certification and accreditation opportunities, self-paced webinars, live webinars, and small group coaching opportunities.
New for our 17th year, we’re pleased to announce the following:

IACET Accreditation for EMI classes
Courses delivered through or by the Energy Management Institute are now officially accredited by ANSI-IACET. This means that you will be earning official Continuing Education Units (CEUs) when taking courses like Fundamentals of Building Systems, Building Operator Certification, and many more. These CEUs can be used for continuing education for many licenses, including PDHs. EMI courses eligible for CEUs are indicated with the IACET logo in the course catalog.
