Step 1: Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your Phone.

Step 2: Once that has been downloaded, use your desktop computer (or laptop or another device) and log into https://emi-cuny.geniussis.com/PublicWelcome.aspx. The system will pop up a unique QR code and guide for you to set up MFA.

Step 3: Open Microsoft Authenticator on your phone and scan the barcode displayed on your desktop computer. Note that it will be different from what you see below. It is unique to you.

Your Genius account is now protected by multifactor authentication. Next time you login to your account, you will be prompted to enter a unique code that you can generate on your multifactor authenticator app.
