Deep Roots: Tools for Healing Mass and Intergenerational Trauma (Session 1: 12/8/21)
Description

Registration is only open to those who have applied and been accepted.

Session 1 of 3 (postponed from Dec 1, 2021)

With ongoing uncertainties, creating and updating a trauma-informed practice that promotes wellness and optimal development is a high priority. This 3 session brief learning series will help providers expand their understanding of trauma to include complex, intergenerational, and mass trauma, especially as it relates to loss, grief, and the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will examine resilience and intergenerational healing as a pathway to post traumatic growth, using tapping, mindfulness, ritual, and narrative to mitigate stress and trauma. We will close with organizational shifts that support comprehensive health and wellness.

Participants will:

  • Understand how complex and intergenerational trauma compound the stress experience
  • Learn intergenerational healing tools to inform post traumatic growth
  • Leave with new practices to mitigate stress and allow for ongoing healing
  • Use reflective writing to access healing tools that resonate with the participant
  • Consider practices to support staff and community members in your organization

Course Dates:
Wednesdays, 1:00pm-3:00pm

  • Session I: December 8, 2021 (postponed from December 1, 2021)
  • Session II: December 15, 2021
